We are delighted to announce that alongside director Michael Longhurst (previous productions include Stovepipe for HighTide with the National Theatre whilst his current show Remembrance Day
opened at the Royal Court earlier this month), we are excited to be working with theatre designer, Chloe Lamford, known recently for her stunning designs on shows including Joseph K at the Gate, Sus at the Young Vic and This Wide Night at Soho Theatre.
On the Record will be performed at the Arcola Theatre July 18th - August 13th and we will update you when tickets go on sale.

Funding cuts affect us all...
|
At the beginning of the year we were dealt a severe blow by funding cuts at the Arts Council of England and appealed to you to help raise money for On The Record. We have been so touched by your continued support for our cause and it is wonderful to see how generous our friends are, despite the gloomy economic climate.
Combined with offline donations we have raised 70% of our target amount but please continue to help us spread the word - we can't afford to relax just yet!
Please spare a few moments to donate to the production, or if you would rather, chat to us about other ways you can help

Co-operating with the Co-op!

iceandfire joined forces with The Cooperative this March to stage a series of exciting events across Yorkshire. Performances of our outreach script, Asylum Dialogues were followed by workshops with some of the leading refugee organisations in the region to promote ideas of Community, Equality and Solidarity
with people seeking sanctuary in the UK. The first event in Sheffield on the 10th March was buzzing! Just take a squizz at these pics to see. And lots of great feedback rolling in already
"I wanted to say thankyou for running such a fabulous event. As a Police Officer I found it extremely useful……Thankyou once again for an informative and relevant day."
It’s been great working with The Cooperative on these events, helping us take the voices of those seeking sanctuary in the UK, far and wide. For details of other AFHR events still to come click here.
Here at iceandfire, we have always taken pride on the quality and loyalty of our staff and associates - without them we really would be nothing! We're excited to say that we have recently added 3 rather amazing theatre folk to our family:
Nina Lyndon is a arts producer and programmer. From 2002-2008 she ran the Young Writers Programme at the Royal Court, producing their young writers festivals and mounting a range of play development projects. Since 2006 Nina has produced Hackney's spectacular family party, Disco Loco - a monthly event at Chats Palace. Nina joins us as Associate Producer of On the Record so I'm sure she will be in touch with more gossip very soon!
Annecy Hayes is currently doing a PhD in Human Rights and Theatre, and has followed the work of iceandfire as a researcher. She has also worked in theatre for many years, predominantly as a writer / director, and will be developing a number of projects with us, starting with a site-responsive piece inspired by the phenomenon of paupers' funerals.
Kirsty Henderson comes to us as Admin Assistant and is getting stuck in to helping man the office effectively. Kirsty is a trained actress and is hoping to return to drama school later this year though we'll certainly make use of her before then!
